Sunny Banff National Park

Finally! A sunny day in Banff! We spent the day hiking Johnson’s Canyon, seeing The Lower Falls, Upper Falls and Ink Pots. 11.4 kilometers. How many miles is that? It can’t be that many, can it? Well, yes it can! And all uphill. Well, downhill occasionally, but then back up. And any downhill will be uphill on the way back...

But it was well worth all the effort because there was incredible mountain scenery the whole way. There was even a man selling ice cream when the return trip ended. (I have a feeling that the Walnut Maple ice cream is worth a seven mile hike...)

Sunday morning we hit the road and no playing around. It is Alaska or bust!
Miles to the beginning of The Alaska Highway: 510
