We spent Tuesday driving through a very scenic region of British Columbia, winding through densely forested areas, views of snow capped mountains in every direction.
Unfortunately it was cloudy and raining off and on, and chilly, but still beautiful. We saw five black bears along the way too!
Leslie observed that driving the Alaska Highway is not quite as fun as riding in the passenger seat selecting tunes and mimicking the animal poses on the wildlife crossing signs. Tom observed that he feels more comfortable in the passenger seat.
We camped at Summit Lake Provincial Campground which is at the highest summit of the Alaska Highway. No wonder it was freezing. And snowing. But we were right next to the beautiful lake with a view of snow covered rocky peaks of the mountains.
Number of cracks in windshield: 2. Number of things Tom has fixed for Leslie with duct tape: 2. (Purse and suitcase)
Happy birthday, T.J.!
